Wanted Design NYC

Wanted Design is a platform dedicated to promoting design and fostering the local and international creative community at large throughout the year.

Operating at various venues between Manhattan & Brooklyn, the experience of viewing and interacting with art was greatly impacted in 2020. Our work was to not only design, but build a modular system that could pivot from the in-person experience to the online experience seamlessly.

Founded in New York City in 2011 by Odile Hainut and Claire Pijoulat. Wanted Design is a staunch supporter of US and international design.

Our Goal

WantedDesign is truly a fully immersive experience between its in-person and online programing throughout the year.

The WantedDesign online digital school workshop partners with prestigious design institutions all around the world. Digital exhibitions feature emerging talents and students who cannot travel to NYC and are seeking wide exposure to the international design community.

WantedDesign NYC

The challenge was to design a web platform that could promote events, have a portal where artists and attendees could experience events remotely, and support their online journal and educational activations year-round.

WantedDesign Journal

WantedDesign Journal needed an online space for its digital magazine which gives viewers and artists of various disciplines a behind-the-scenes look at recent art & design events. In turn, these events are a call to action for emerging designers from around the world to present their work for consideration through an application process.

Ticket sales, scheduling, press inquiries and a repository for past events and exhibitions required us to design the platform so viewers can seamlessly navigate and reach their point of interest quickly and efficiently.

IC Shop by WantedDesign

Connecting the WantedDesign NYC digital platform to the IC Store really brought this project full circle. In-person events came back to Brooklyn and Manhattan and the IC Store by WantedDesign brought back its carefully curated retail experience offering an assortment of well-designed items from gifts to accessories, toys, jewelry, housewares and more.
